Elliott Laboratories announces Transfer of Sunnyvale Operations to Fremont and Newark

In an important development with regards to its testing and certification capabilities, Elliott Laboratories, an NTS company announced the shift of all Sunnyvale operations to their existing laboratories in Fremont and Newark, CA.

The move stems from Elliott's unprecedented growth in its core services and will enable the company to expand and upgrade these services in Fremont. As part of this development, the Sunnyvale location will be shutting down in the weeks ahead with key testing facilities and equipment being moved to Fremont and Newark.

The Fremont location, a 27,000 square foot testing facility will be the Silicon Valley's premier location for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and wireless testing. "We assessed the level of demand for our services and ultimately decided that this was the right time to make this strategic move to invest in the future of the company," said Eddie Pavlu, Vice President - Telecom and Consumer Product Markets, NTS which includes Elliott Laboratories/NTS Silicon Valley. "As we continue to grow, we need to take this next step for our evolving business. Our customers now have true one-stop shopping for all of their product testing and certification requirements right here in the Bay Area and we will be positioned to take advantage of many synergies to accommodate our growth and development."

This development ties in with the company's recent addition of a new laboratory in Newark, CA to include Climatic, Environmental and Dynamics Product Testing. This new location is over 30,000 square feet and houses a wide range of state-of-the-art testing equipment and services such as such as shock and vibration testing, thermal stress and extreme environment simulation are expected to be online in the second quarter of this year.

"Elliott currently has the most up-to-date and the largest EMC facility in the Bay Area." said Gaylon Morris, Operations Manager, NTS Silicon Valley. "With the Newark expansion, we will have the largest, most extensively capable and professional Environmental Test Facility in this region. This will be a significant step in expanding our services in the local market and will not only enable us to offer complementary services to our existing customers but also open the door to new customers in the Aerospace, Defense and Telecom industries."

Elliott's Fremont location is currently undergoing a major expansion effort in order to align with this strategic move. In addition to the three state-of-the-art anechoic testing chambers- the 10-meter and two 5-meter semi-anechoic chambers that are currently being used for Radiated Emissions testing, a third 5-meter semi-anechoic chamber has been custom built by ETS-Lindgren, a leading global provider of components and systems that measure, shield and control electromagnetic energy to accommodate additional Radiated Emissions testing requirements. A new 3m chamber has recently been installed primarily for Radiated Immunity testing and the Radiated Immunity chamber from Sunnyvale will be installed by the end of July. In addition to the chambers, five spacious EMC labs will be available for a wide variety of immunity tests.

Elliott has assembled an innovative project team to facilitate the operational move of its chambers and equipment from Sunnyvale to Fremont and Newark and once completed, will enable the company to offer a more complete and comprehensive solution of services to its customers.
