Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full scope of client projects once a signed proposal or order is received by Sales to ensure that client requirements are met in a timely manner
- Communicate project status to clients and manage their expectations during the project execution period
- Communicate with internal groups to ensure that any obstacles to project completion are removed quickly and efficiently
- Manage the scheduling of the Company's facilities and engineers for client projects
- Open and close jobs as necessary
- Facilitate meetings and tours for prospective clients
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Company’s Sales team to ensure that all client issues are understood and addressed in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of Elliott processes and capabilities
- Maintain current knowledge of the compliance services industry
- Provide training and back-up assistance to other Project Managers as needed
- Participate as team member to accomplish departmental & corporate objectives
- Develop additional business from assigned accounts
- Work with Engineering staff to respond to customer requests for information and development of detailed price quotes
- Maintain sales forecast for all accounts under management
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of Customer Service and Project Management experience, preferably in a service-based industry
- 1-2 years of Sales experience a plus
- General computer literacy and experience with Word and Excel
- Knowledge of the compliance services industry a major plus
- BA/BS or equivalent preferred
EMC Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct EMC testing services for client at the client’s lab
- Assist with the maintenance and calibration of EMC test equipment
- Work directly with OEM suppliers on specific projects
- Maintain current knowledge of agency standards and testing procedures
- Participate as team member to accomplish departmental & corporate objectives
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of EMC engineering and testing, including emissions and immunity to US and European standards
- Minimum AS in Engineering or equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License
- NARTE EMC certificate desired
- General Computer Literacy; Basic EMC Theory; Laboratory Test Equipment of Various Types
EMC Technician
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct EMC testing services for client and Elliott projects
- Assist with the maintenance of EMC test facilities
- Develop and maintain service oriented communication skills
- Maintain current knowledge of agency standards and testing procedures
- Recommend improvements to testing services and equipment
Requirements:
- 1-2 years electronics testing or training
- Minimum AS or equivalent
- NARTE EMC Certification Desired
- Valid California Driver's License
Radio Test Engineer
The role of the Radio Test Engineer is to provide project management, test plan development and testing services for radio projects being tested against FCC, Industry Canada and ETSI standards.
Depending on the candidate’s qualifications, there is the possibility that he/she will also work within the Certification group to perform work as a Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB) and Notified Body to review applications for certification and make recommendations in the scope in which he/she is a Technical Expert.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare test plans for projects that other engineers can follow.
- Take responsibility for tracking progress of testing, provide feedback to project management team regarding scheduling and estimated completion time, review test data for compliance with test procedures.
- Perform testing to various EMC and Radio standards.
- Provide training to other staff in the areas of radio approvals testing.
- Review reports and application documentation prior to submittal to regulatory agencies.
- Develop test capabilities for new standards.
- As part of the TCB/Notified Body staff, ensure that data contained in applicants' submittals have been obtained in conformance with the requirements of the TCB / Notified Body and the appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Verifies that applications fall within Elliott TCB's scope of accreditation and that all elements of applications have been provided as required.
- Generate evaluation reports so that a product Certification decision can be rendered.
- Communicate with clients and describe inadequacies in their applications
- Attend and/or monitor TCB Council workshops, and FCC teleconferences
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable radio standards.
- Participate as team member to accomplish departmental & site objectives.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science discipline from an accredited university or college, and 5+ years experience performing radio tests against FCC Part 15, RSS 210, EN 300 328, EN 301 893, EN 300 220, EN 300 330 and EN 300 440, including 2+ years preparing test plans and providing quote support for the testing and certification of unlicensed devices for the US, Canadian and European markets.
- Also required is experience in the areas of FCC Parts 22, 24, 27 and 90, Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese requirements, primarily for unlicensed devices.
- 2+ years doing applications (preparing forms, reviewing test reports) for FCC and Canadian radio approvals is desired.
- Experience reviewing TCB and/or Notified Body applications for verification is also desired.
- NARTE certification considered a plus
Product Safety Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Provide Product Safety testing and consulting services directly to clients and Elliott staff focusing on 60950 and 61010.
- Manage the full scope of client projects in a timely manner.
- Communicate project status to clients and manage their expectations during the project execution period.
- Provide expertise, technical knowledge, and proper explanation for a variety of safety standards and the accreditation process and approval.
- Maintain current knowledge of agency standards and testing procedures.
- Assist in the development of quotes and scoping projects for clients.
- Assist to develop a uniform interpretation of many commonly used safety standards.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Product Safety engineering and testing experience.
- Experience with UL, CSA, TUV or IEC product safety projects and approval processes.
- Technical knowledge of domestic and international product safety standards, such as ITE (60950) and Test and Measurement (61010).
- GR1089 Product Safety and Medical 60601 testing a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Minimum BS in Engineering or Science discipline.
Radio Technician
This position is a member of the technical staff reporting into Engineering. The responsibilities will include wireless testing and documentation for Elliott’s clients focused around wireless technologies such as RFID, 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth and WiMAX.

- AS in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Science discipline plus 1 year wireless experience

- Good communication skills
- Excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills
- Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure
